Clare U14s win 2-1 away to Limerick County

Our u14s played their 3rd inter league game and were 2-1 winners away to Limerick County.

Clare went 1 nil up through a John Ikiebay strike buried into the bottom left from out side the box leaving the Limerick County keeper with no chance. A mix up in the Clare defense resulted in Limerick County equalizing 10 minutes before half time.

Clare made 6 changes after the break and really took charge of the game creating a number of chances but just fell short each time. The winner came with 10 minutes left when Ben O’Connell did well to out muscle the Limerick County defender from a short kick out, O’Connell showed great composure to round the keeper and slot the ball into the back of the net.

That’s 2 win from 3 for the lads who look forward to their last group game on the 9th of February………..
