Hearty congratulations to our Clare U15 Girls who beat Limerick County 1 - 0 in a tight encounter winning the Gaynor Plate - Aine Bonfil with the winning goal later in the game. Our U13 girls just missed out by the same scoreline but can be delighted with their runners up position - effectively 7th in Ireland. There was a super crowd from Clare in attendance to support the girls and both teams gave wonderful performances in response.

Following on from yesterday's Kennedy Bowl success we would like to stress that these successes are testament to the coaching taking place in our clubs and in the league's ETP programmes. The standard of girls soccer in Clare is heading in the right direction and the performances of our county teams are a reflection of the work being done around the county and by our RDO Denis Hynes. The U15 manager Donal Magee and his team of Mark O'Malley and Johnny Ryan and the U13 manager Amy Horgan and her team of Sean Cregan, Ciara Duggan, Aisling Kenneally and Hannah Mai Neylon are deserving of special thanks for the time they have given their respective teams this year. Well done to all.

Clare's captain Hannah Saidi was presented with the Gaynor Plate after their match. The celebrations will go on into the evening knowing these ladies!

Bloodied but unbowed, captain Kate Jones presented the runners up medals to our gutsy U13 team after their match while Sean Cregan rushed back to the Paddocks restaurant to prepare a meal for our squad.
