The CSSL in association with ‘Run the Banner Summer Series’ will hit the road next Thursday May 19th for a sponsored run in an effort to raise funds for our Emerging Talent Programmes. Many of our young players will be trading football boots for running shoes for the 5k route and will this week be busy filling their sponsorship cards (apologies to all aunts, uncles, relations and family friends in advance 😊).

The cost of running our Emerging Talent Programme can be up to €10,000 per squad per annum and we currently have 9 squads catering for over 250 elite players in Clare.

2022 Kennedy Cup & Gaynor Cup competitions take place in the University of Limerick between June 6th and 17th and promises to be very well attended as we return to pre-epidemic format with 32 teams from around the country taking up residence on site for each event. Our teams have been brilliantly prepared over the past 8 months and we really look forward to making the experience a remarkable one for our Clare players. .

The CSSL has achieved great success over the previous 12 months with our U14 Boys Kennedy Cup squad winning the Kennedy Cup Bowl, our U16 Girls Gaynor Cup squad winning the National Trophy Competition, while our U14 Girls were runners up in their Gaynor Bowl National Competition.

We have been very fortunate to date to have some very generous sponsors. Special mention to Martin Williams Concrete Products Ltd, Banner Steel Ltd, Rochford Pharmacy, Munster Stainless Steel, C&C Coaches, Westgate Motor Factors who have all come forward to support our Kennedy Cup and Gaynor Cup teams to date.

We continue in our attempts to attract further sponsors and still have some opportunities in advance of Gaynor Cup and Kennedy Cups competitions. Sponsors of the CSSL will be acknowledged on all our social medial platforms, Local media outlets and promoted as an official CSSL partner.
